ANTÓNIO MATAS VARA (PRESIDENT OF THE JÚRI)

Secretary General of the Association of Press Madrilena Tourist. Graduated in Geography and History, specializing in Art History, Ph.D. in Epigraphy Numismatics y Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Currently collaborates with the magazines: Art Cine 16, 16 and Cambio Cambio Financiero, director of tourism Maskviajes magazine, and a member of the Federación Española de Periodistas y Writers of Tourism and the Iberoamerican Academy of Writers Periodistas y. He was awarded the International Prize Essay Universitas Europe, by "La nueva en la restauración Hostelería"

 

JUCA FONSECA

Industrial Chemistry, graduated from Federal University of Santa Maria- RS Brazil, Writer, composer, screenwritter and cultural producer. He is also member ps Bahia Sectoriaç Collegiate of Audiovisual Contente and he is manager of Arraial CineFest. He currently teaches an audiovisual production course in the Social Gerontology Program at the Pontifical Catholic University.

DIEGO STAVITZKI

Diego Stavitzki was the creator of EVO Filmes. Today, with 16 years of road, EVO is a complete producer, attending all stages of the audiovisual process, for its own productions, production services for contracted films, co-productions and international productions. In the audiovisual sector we have a portfolio of more than 3000 films, including documentaries, programs and TV series, short films, feature films, music videos and cultural products. The knowledge acquired over the 16 years leading up to the EVO, and the expansion plans for Europe, Canada and the United States, provided Diego Stavitzki the opportunity to participate as Director and Line Producer in a series of co-productions with established companies such as: Discovery Channel, History Channel, BAND, Canal Futura, Tvi Portugal, Germany's Ruptly TV, Globo TV Network, BBC Brasil, UFC, National Geography and FIFA. Fargo from Italy, Laz Audiovisual and Tropic, the most recent work being the feature length Águas Selvagens, co-production with Argentina. In the area of education, he has given several courses, workshops and lectures in various Universities and Film Schools throughout Latin America. The focus is on producing films that really matter, that have relevance, that bring concrete benefits to society.

JOSÉ DUARTE 
He was born in 1963 and in the family his father already had a taste for the super 8 and 8mm. She grew up with this passion at home. Today there is a collection for over 100 models of film and project machines all working. There are also hundreds of films, from originals to private films that are bought here and there. Photography and music have always been his hobbies until 1993, when he was challenged by a friend to help film a wedding from that day on, everything changed. Music continued as a hobby, but photography was replaced by video. From this time on, the video, in addition to a hobby, also began to be part of the financial part. He earned the money, spent it on material. In 2006 the leap was enormous, he left the job he had to dedicate himself exclusively to video and SINOPSE was born, which worked for about six years. In 2012 his partner Daniela Couto, joined the project, brought a great breath of fresh air, raising creativity and editing to another level and then the Synopsis became TORGA EMOTIONS & FILMS. Some international awards and recognitions have taken us to know other countries, as we have also worked outside Portugal. They have been part of the production team of the Finisterra Arrábida Film Art & Tourism Festival since its 1st edition and are also members of the Arrábida Film Commission

 

MIGUEL ANGEL PÉREZ

Brand & Markets Director VISIT VALENCIA - Over 18 years of international sales and marketing experience; Miguel Ángel began by exporting different Spanish products such as furniture, tiles, gourmet food or wine ... in the last 13 years his professional objective is to promote and "sell" his beloved and vibrant city in Spain: VALENCIA. He started in Turismo Valencia in 2008 promoting Valencia throughout Asia and Eastern Europe, since 2010 he is also responsible for Fly Valencia: a special marketing program to improve air connectivity from Valencia.
He is currently the Brand and Markets Director at Visit Valencia: leading a team in charge of promoting all tourism products worldwide: Valencia Convention Bureau, VLC Sports, VLC Gastro, Culture and leisure, Shopping, Medical Destination and also the Valencia Film Office.

ALEJANDRO ANDRADE PEASE

Director, writer and producer ACADEMIC BACKGROUND: Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication at the
Universidad Anahuac and from 1996 onwards starts Studies in Cinematography at the University Center for Film Studies at the UNAM (CUEC-UNAM), which ends in 2003. Has studied two masters’ degrees in Spain. The first one, in Management of Audiovisual Companies at the University Carlos III of Madrid and the other on projects development for cinema in the ECAM (Film School in the Community of Madrid). He was selected in the Berlinale Talent Campus 2004. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: Alejandro has worked in various audiovisual productions for film and television in Mexico, Spain, India, Romania and USA, always on the direction team and as documentary filmmaker. He has worked
directing documentaries for TVE (Spain), UNIVISION (USA) and ONCETV, TVUNAM, CANAL 22 (Mexico). He has directed second unit in advertising production and during 3 years was coordinating the post production for film and TV series for Channel Plus + Spain. Since 2012 he has produced and directed 10 documentary Tv series for Mexican television. Has been awarded as a screenwriter and director in several competitions and festivals, such as the 1998 award of the VI Script Contest of the Mexican Institute of Cinematography for his screenplay "This Beautiful chain".

PAULO ROBERTO MASSERAN
Professor at São Paulo State University, UNESP, Faculty of Architecture, Arts and Communication, in the subjects of History of Urbanism and Design and Theory of Architecture and Urbanism. PhD in History (UNESP), Master in Architecture and Urbanism (USP) and Architect (UNESP). Develops scientific activity specialized in History of Theater Architecture, Theater and Scenography, with published books and articles. He has postdoctoral degrees from the Universidade de Coimbra, Universidade Nova de Lisboa and Universidade de Lisboa.

Jim Wilmer is the co-founder of Window Channel Network, the award-winning, globally recognized producer of original HD and VR nature films, as well as relaxation and wellness videos. In 2018, digital healthcare company Sharecare Inc., purchased Window Channel Network and rebranded the channel as Sharecare Windows, while expanding the distribution of Sharecare Windows programming to healthcare facilities, airlines, cruise ships and hotels worldwide. Sharecare Windows is the exclusive provider of ambient and sleep programming for Amazon Prime Video. Sharecare Windows films have screened at more than 180 film festivals worldwide and have garnered 45 awards for everything from Best Eco Film to Best Cinematography to Best Short. Prior, Wilmer was the founder of Wilmer Communications, a leading provider of specialized marketing services to hospitality brands including Marriott International and Global Hyatt in North and South America, the Caribbean, Europe and Asia. Wilmer is a past board member of the California Chapter of HSMAI (Hotel Sales and Marketing International), a member of the Washington state Governors’ committee on International Tourism, Vice Chairman for the Edmonds Center for the Arts (Seattle, WA), and Chair of the planning commission for the town of Woodway, WA. Jim studied in the BFA program in the School of Fine Arts at the University of Texas, Austin, and Computer Studies at The University of Washington, Seattle. Jim, his wife Linda and their two dogs, Sarah Jessica Barker and Charles Barkley, reside in Scottsdale, Arizona and Eagle, Colorado.
